How do I create a store?

Sign up for a free account, choose your store name (this becomes your URL like bluetika.nz/yourstore), and you're live instantly. No approval needed.

Can I sell anything?

Physical products and services. Illegal items, counterfeit goods, and anything prohibited under NZ law are not allowed and will result in immediate removal.

Do I need an NZBN?

No — but verifying your NZBN halves your subscription cost and gives you a "Verified NZ Business" badge that increases buyer trust and search ranking.

How many products can I list?

Free plan: 10 products. Starter plan: 100 products. Pro plan: Unlimited products.

How do I import from Shopify or Trade Me?

Go to Dashboard → Import, paste your store URL, and we'll fetch your listings automatically.

What are Premium URLs?

Premium URLs let you use custom domains (yourbrand.nz) instead of bluetika.nz/yourstore. Available on Pro plan.

Buying

How do I search for products?

Use the search bar at the top, browse categories, or filter by verified sellers, price range, and location.

What payment methods are accepted?

All major credit cards via Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes, within 2 hours of placing it. After that, contact the seller directly.

How do I track my order?

Go to Dashboard → Orders to see status updates from sellers.

Shipping

Who handles shipping?

Sellers handle their own shipping. Check individual store policies for delivery times.

Do you offer combined shipping?

That's up to each seller. Contact them before purchasing to ask.

What if my item doesn't arrive?

Open a dispute within 7 days of expected delivery. Our team will investigate.

Can I pick up locally?

Yes, if the seller offers local pickup. Check the product page for options.

Payments

How do I get paid?

Payments go to your Stripe Connect account. Funds are typically available within 2 business days after a sale.

What if a buyer doesn't pay?

Orders require payment upfront via Stripe. Unpaid orders are automatically cancelled after 24 hours.

What is the dispute process?

Either party can open a dispute within 7 days of delivery. Our team reviews evidence and resolves within 5 business days.

Is there GST on transactions?

Yes, GST is included on all NZ transactions. International buyers pay the listed price.

Verification

What does "Identity Verified" mean?

We've confirmed the seller's NZ Driver Licence or Passport against the NZTA/DIA database. This is the same level used by NZ banks.

Is my ID data safe?

Your document is used only for verification and is not stored beyond the check. We use AES-256 encryption for all data at rest.

How long does verification take?

NZBN verification is instant (real-time API). Identity document verification takes up to 10 minutes.

Why get verified?

Verified sellers get better search ranking, buyer trust badges, and lower subscription costs.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy?

Each seller sets their own policy. Check the product page before purchasing.

How do I request a return?

Contact the seller within 7 days of receiving your item. If unresolved, open a dispute.

Who pays return shipping?

That depends on the seller's policy. Check before purchasing.

Account

How do I change my email or password?

Go to Dashboard → Settings to update your account details.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, in Settings. This permanently deletes all your data and stores.

How do I contact another user?

Use the Messages feature in your dashboard to contact sellers or buyers.

Technical

What browsers do you support?

Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Mobile browsers are fully supported.

Why isn't the Turnstile loading?

Refresh the page or disable ad blockers. Turnstile is Cloudflare's security tool.

How do I report a bug?

Use the "Report an Issue" link at the bottom of any page.
